In-network providers are healthcare providers โ doctors, hospitals, clinics, labs โ who have a contract with your insurance company. Under this contract, they agree to accept negotiated rates for services.
When you use an in-network provider, your insurance applies your normal deductible, copay, and coinsurance. When you go out-of-network, costs are typically much higher and may not count toward your deductible or OOP max.
